With London emerging from lockdown in Tier 2, those looking to meet friends from other households for drinks will have to brave the cold. But, luckily, the capital is filled with lovely winter outdoor terraces – many with heaters, sheepskin rugs and warming drinks menus to keep things cosy
Mayfair restaurant Scott’s wins the award for glitziest winter terrace, which is a partnership with Bvlgari and Dom Pérignon. The brands have worked together to create a diamond-inspired installation on the Mount Street façade, with a glittering cascade of faceted crystals embellishing the restaurant’s entrance and illuminated crystal trees with serpents coiled around them. Alongside this guests can enjoy a suitably luxurious seafood and champagne menu.
The Hawk’s Nest has transformed their outdoor restaurant and bar into a festive woodland with heated seating, dazzling Christmas lights and wintery plants designed by local florist Lucy Vail. Launching their first ever Christmas Market every Sunday in the lead up to Christmas, guests are invited to warm their cockles and get merry on mince pies and mulled gin or cider. Soak in the festive cheer while indulging in the wide range of delicious gourmet sourdough pizzas including the spicy nduja & chilli pizza, white-based funghi pizza or the classic napolitana.
