3 – Kings Ginger

The King’s Ginger is a liqueur which was specifically formulated by Berry Bros. & Rudd in 1903 for King Edward VII. Rich and zesty, it was created to stimulate and revivify His Majesty and has been appreciated by bon viveurs ever since.  A fiery ginger spirit enlivened by a hit of zesty lemon, this is best enjoyed both on its own or in cocktails.

4 – 1991 Balblair, Highlands, Single Malt Whisky, 46%

At this sort of age, Balblair’s classically soft fruitiness becomes more and more intertwined with the nuttiness of oak. Very elegant on the palate, but with no lack of assurance and sweet spice, this Highland malt finishes gently with marzipan and hay. An excellent dram for a post- (or even pre-) prandial drink.

5 – Laurent Perrier – Alexandra Rosé 2004

It was always natural for Laurent-Perrier, creator of the benchmark Cuvée Rosé non-vintage champagne, to eventually offer a prestige Cuvée Rosé. Alexandra Rosé is a rare and cherished wine that comes from a rigorous selection of the best plots; an exceptional marriage between Grands Crus grapes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The year 2004: despite periods of hail and storms during the spring and summer, September’s beneficial warm and dry weather saw an abundant, well-matured harvest of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes (the former being more heterogenous).
