Chef Peter Joseph, formerly Head chef at Michelin-starred Tamarind, has opened his own restaurant near Cadogan Hall, just by Sloane Square.
The 90-cover restaurant is inspired by the chef’s upbringing in Tamil Nadu in South India and the menu focuses on dishes cooked on a robata grill.
Highlights on the menu included soft shell crunchy crab with tomato chutney; delicious lamb chops with Kashmiri chillies; and smoked Malabar prawns.
For curry enthusiasts, there’s an excellent butter chicken with chargrilled chicken. Kahani combines classic Indian cooking with British seasonal ingredients in an elegant but relaxed dining room in Chelsea.
