Dame Vivienne Westwood, one of Cool Earth’s biggest supporters, is to create a unique, multi-platform charitable experience. Building on the successful SUSHISAMBA/Cool Earth partnership that launched in 2016, the experience will include an online charity auction, a new limited-edition dish inspired by Vivienne Westwood and the rainforest, and an exclusive dinner hosted by Dame Vivienne herself.

Limited Edition Vivienne-Inspired Dish

Working closely with Dame Vivienne, SUSHISAMBA’s Corporate Chef Claudio Cardoso has created a limited-edition ‘Rain Forest Revolution’ dish, inspired by one of Vivienne’s Climate Revolution Playing Cards. His ingenious dish will replicate Vivienne’s card in edible form, and will be served for the first time during the dinner; the dish will then be available on the SUSHISAMBA menu for a limited time with a portion of the dish’s profits going straight to Cool Earth.

Dinner with Vivienne Westwood

On 7th November, Dame Vivienne Westwood and SUSHISAMBA will host an intimate dinner in the restaurant’s private dining room. Over a special menu created by Corporate Chef Claudio Cardoso, Vivienne and Claudio will share their own insights and stories from visits to the Peruvian rainforest to witness Cool Earth’s pioneering work with local communities.

“I support the charity Cool Earth and their plan to save the rainforest – which is working!” says Dame Vivienne Westwood. “We need your support, the faster the better. On 7th November 2017, SUSHISAMBA and I will host a dinner to raise funds. I will be working with Chef Claudio, who has created a menu inspired by the work of Cool Earth. Claudio Cardoso says, ‘It has been a privilege to work with someone as creative and passionate as Vivienne Westwood on this project. Together, we have created a very special dish, it is really not to be missed! Having visited the Amazon earlier this year, Cool Earth is a charity very close to my heart and I hope we can once again raise significant funds for them through this auction.’ 

Earlier this year, SUSHISAMBA worked with Cool Earth to create their ‘Into the Amazon’ menu which blends the classic flavours of SUSHISAMBA’s cuisine with rich rainforest ingredients, sourced and produced by indigenous Amazonian communities supported by Cool Earth.
