Delivering a passionate new mood, Olivia von Halle’s Castillo collection will transport you to a sultry corner of Madrid where flamboyant prints and contrasting textures converge with pared-back panache.
Amidst mirrored parlours and plush surroundings in the impossibly lavish home of interior designer Lorenzo Castillo, James Meakin shoots Josefin Gustafsson. Styled by Sam Ranger, the images pay homage to the sensual appeal of texture, whilst seeking to evoke the eccentric elegance of Castillo’s home in its daring, yet meticulously curated content.
ABOUT OLIVIA VON HALLE
After studying Fashion and Textile Management at Leeds University, Olivia von Halle worked for the Future Laboratory in London as a trend forecaster for clients including Louis Vuitton, Gucci Group and Lamborghini. In 2008 she moved to Shanghai, China where she continued working as a trend forecaster for various agencies and as a luxury brand consultant.
Coming home from evenings partying with friends, she would long to ditch her sky-high heels and constricting outfits for something glamorous enough to enjoy a gin and tonic in before sliding off to bed. Inspired by the lounging pyjamas worn by Coco Chanel and her contemporaries in the 1920s, she started work with her tailor to design the perfect pair of pyjamas. In 2011 she returned to London to launch the Olivia von Halle brand. Olivia now lives in London with her husband Hugo, son Hieronymus and boxer dog Bathtub.
Established in London in 2011, Olivia von Halle has become synonymous with re-invention and uncompromising luxury. Guided by a passion for travel and lifestyle, the brand takes inspiration from timeless pieces – be it the traditional silk pyjama or humble tracksuit – and transforms them into something truly exceptional, blurring the line between nightwear and ready-to-wear.
After launching with just one classic yet meticulously considered style, the ‘Lila’ pyjama, Olivia von Halle grew to include an extensive offering of pyjamas, robes, kimonos, nightshirts and eye masks. Having established a repertoire of ‘hero’ styles that fused a hunger for loungewear innovation with resolute attention to detail, the brand quickly carved a niche for itself in the fashion world. The luxe pyjama was here to stay. After its launch in 2016, the sell-out ‘Missy’ tracksuit further solidified the concept of loungewear-as-ready-to-wear, after the look was worn by Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Lopez and Gigi and Bella Hadid. Following its success, Olivia von Halle launched its first capsule collection of ready-to-wear in September 2017, and the brand’s unique offering continues to ensure it’s a mainstay in the wardrobes of the fashion industry’s most inimitable personalities.
Olivia von Halle is sold by over 100 of the world’s most prestigious retailers including NET-A-PORTER.COM, Harrods, Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. After launching e-Commerce in 2011, Olivia von Halle opened its first store in London’s prestigious Sloane Square in 2016.
