Zena Holloway, the daughter of an airline pilot, fell in love with the water first, photography second. Born in Bahrain and raised between London and pretty much everywhere else in the world, she went on her first dive in England as a teenager. Working almost exclusively underwater, Zena has photographed Olympians, sports personalities, singers and songwriters as well as newborn babies, indigenous peoples and creatures of all shapes and sizes – both marine and terrestrial.
Her images have appeared in publications such as Dazed &Confused, National Geographic, Paris Match, How to Spend it, Harpers Bazaar, GQ, Vanity Fair, The Observer, 125, Stylist, Quintessentially Magazine, JFW, Twill, Vision, Neon, Schon, Cent and The Sunday Times.
Recent projects such as Sea Women and Body of Water aim to raise awareness of the effects of overfishing and pollution in our oceans.
